Schools2030 is a ten-year learning improvement programme being delivered in ten countries. It draws on the principles of Human-Centred Design to support teachers with designing and implementing their own classroom-based micro-innovations. Teachers then monitor and iterate these solutions across the school year, with the results being showcased globally, emphasising the importance of bottom-up change and the centrality of teachers in school improvement.

Crucial to delivering this vision is a clear strategy for how teachers will assess the holistic learning levels in their classrooms, as well as a strategy for how Schools2030 will evaluate its impact on classrooms, teachers and education systems. We worked with the Schools2030 Secretariat and country teams to define a strategy for both assessment and evaluation.

Key Activities:

  • Led a series of consultations with key individuals and groups involved in Schools2030, as well as with the Technical Advisory Group (TAG), and donor steering committee.

  • Reviewed previous work done on assessment and evaluation by Schools2030

  • Developed two strategy documents on assessment and evaluation
